Let’s think about how we act in different situations. This week, you and your children will read Larry and Milton and decide how each of the characters acted and behaved. This activity is a great way to reinforce social-emotional learning skills and learn how to make good behavior choices!
What you need:
- Crayons
- Glue
- Scissors
- Craft sticks
- Pre-made puppets and Think Before You Act questions (here)
Step 1
Click to read Larry and Milton. You can find this book in your Footsteps2Brilliance app under Level 3 (Blue) in the Aesop’s Fables series. Read the book with your child, then complete the activity.
Step 2
Print and cut your Larry and Milton stick puppets (page 1).
Step 3
Color them in. Glue the colored puppets onto a craft stick.
Step 4
Use the Think Before You Act questions (page 2) to decide how Larry behaved towards Milton. Think of other ways Larry might have handled the situation. Use your puppets to act out how Larry could have behaved differently.
Have fun learning about good choices!
